I did not dive
Or feed stingrays
Or kitesurf
Neither did I cuddle with sharks
Or climb steps of Mayan ruins
Or visit the barrier reef
Not even snorkeling
Or stand on a paddle board
Or go and party
I didn’t even swim
I will probably do some or most of that next time
Not this time
Instead
I took me time
Slow down
Recharge
Feel
Embrace my soul
Lick my wounds
And most of all
Promise to be kinder to myself
